As some of you know, I have gathered around me what I call, the Celtic Cat Clan...consisting of Liam (very handsome orange/white tabby), Sorscha (pronounced Sore-Sha, the graceless, aka "killer"), and Kyra (the loud and loveable).
The introduction of Kyra into the mix caused some issues for Sorscha, but over the past few months they've seemed to work out their differences and there is no longer any hissing....but that isn't because they are best buddies now, it seems that the neighbors cat Finnegan, has decided that he no longer feels obligated to live in his house and decided to adopt my cat clan to be part of his own and move into my house.
Finnegan, a very loud, limber, skittish, orange tabby, marches around my house like he owns the place. He fights with Kyra (or could it be flirting, since she's the one that brought him into the house in the first place) and it seems his entrance onto the scene has brought Sorscha and Kyra closer as Finnegan has introduced a reason to do a cat pecking order re-order.
Ironically, Finnegan isn't just any ordinary cat, he happens to share the same namesake as my former roommate Erik Finnegan. It also is in irony that they share some of the same personality traits as well. Both are loud, run around breaking things, walk into the room like they own it, and are pretty full of energy most of the time. They even share the same love of sleeping on my bed, even though they have their own.
So now, through no fault of my own, or perhaps it was because of doting love and affection on Finnegan, that I now have 4 cats, instead of 3. It started out as more of a PT thing, but since he's now been at my house almost a full 3 days and slept on my bed last night, waking me up in the morning for food, he's moved into the FT range.
I truly enjoy Finnegan, but 4 cat butts is more work than 3 and walking into a cloud of cat poo stentch after they've all decided to tag team the box, isn't my idea of fun. At least, for the most part, they all poop outside if it's reasonable outside.
I would let my neighbors know, but after hearing the rows that go on over there, it's no wonder their cat has mutinied....ah, well, at least he's a pirate at heart! Yar!
